These terms apply to every rental from TRIO Rent a car d.o.o., Kurta Schorka 36, 71210 Ilidža, Sarajevo, whether you book on this website, by phone, email, WhatsApp or Viber. The rental contract you sign at pick-up is part of these terms.

1. Booking and payment

  • Your booking is confirmed by email, with your order number and a PDF summary.
  • There is no online prepayment: you pay when you pick up the car, by credit/debit card or cash.
  • Prices are in euros and include 17% VAT. The price confirmed in your booking is the price you pay, plus any extras or fees you add later.
  • The car you book represents a category: you'll receive that model or a similar car of the same category.

2. Driver requirements

  • Minimum age 21, with a driving licence held for at least 2 years.
  • A valid passport or ID card. International Driving Permit needed for licences not in the Latin alphabet.
  • Only the drivers named in the contract may drive. An additional driver costs €2.50 per day (max €25 per rental) and must meet the same requirements.

3. Insurance and deposit

  • Full coverage: no deposit, zero excess, and 24/7 roadside assistance across Europe.
  • Basic insurance: included in the price. A deposit is held on your credit or debit card at pick-up and released when the car is returned without new damage. The deposit, which is also your maximum liability for damage (excess), is €1100.

4. Pick-up and return

  • Pick-up and return are at Sarajevo International Airport terminal, Kurta Schorka 36. We're open every day from 08:00 to 21:00.
  • Pick-up or return outside opening hours costs €23.40 (tax included). Please tell us your flight number so we can follow delays.
  • Delivery to, or collection from, downtown Sarajevo costs €23.40.
  • Late return: 2h grace period, after that charged per day.
  • Fuel: "same to same" - return the car with the same fuel level, otherwise missing fuel is charged per litre plus a refuelling fee. Price not set since it is subject to change on a day to day basis.
  • Mileage is unlimited.

5. Extras

  • GPS navigation: €2.50 per day (max €25 per rental)
  • Baby seat (0–4 years): €5 per day (max €25 per rental)
  • Child seat (4–8 years): €3 per day (max €28 per rental)
  • Winter tyres: €13 per rental. Winter equipment is required by law in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1. November to 1. April. During this period, this fee will be mandatory.

6. Driving abroad

You may take the car to neighbouring countries for a cross-border fee of €55 per rental, which includes the documents you need at the border. Tell us when you book or when you sign the contract; driving abroad without it is not insured.

Using our cars to drive to following countries is not permitted: Bulgaria and Kosovo.

7. Using the car

  • No smoking, no pets without our agreement, no off-road driving, racing, towing, or subletting the car.
  • Traffic and parking fines, tolls and their administration costs during the rental are paid by the renter.

8. Accidents, damage and theft

In case of an accident, damage or theft, call the police and us immediately on +387 61 922 307. A police report is required for the insurance to cover the damage; without it, you may have to pay the full cost.

9. Changes and cancellation

You can change or cancel your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up by email or WhatsApp. As there is no prepayment, there is no cancellation fee; repeated no-shows may lead to future bookings being declined.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Disputes are handled by the competent court in Sarajevo, unless the law of your country of residence gives you a different right.
